To clarify this (as James pointed out) they turned his payment details, including his full name and address, over to the Swedish government who requested it on behalf of the FBI.
Proton's statement is their paid accounts are the most secure and private in the world, which is clearly not true. They enabled this without the safeguards they sold - I'm not debating the pedantry they are currently astroturfing out there - they sold a product they did not provide. I WILL be participating in the class action suit that gets filed against them, however.
